The Stone Ridge Library will host classical guitarist Eric J Roth, who will perform a concert at the Marbletown Community Center. Eric performs on a beautiful, authentic reproduction instrument modeled after one built in 1830. Eric will also provide information about the instrument, repertoire, composers, and history. The program will primarily include music from the late 18th century through the early 20th century. Composers to be represented include Sor, Paganini, Mertz, Shand, Barrios and others. Eric will also perform his own piece, Sarabande.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from SUNY New Paltz and has received lessons or master classes from several acclaimed guitarists, including Nicholas Goluses, Gohar Vardanyan, Michael Newman & Laura Oltman, David Starobin, and Patrick O’Brien.
