Our New Activity Room – 2019
If you’ve recently visited the far end of the Library you’ve probably noticed the changes. Thanks to the generosity of our caring community, the southwest corner of the 1811 building has been completely transformed and now includes a beautiful new Activity Room, a new kitchenette and an ADA-accessible bathroom. (And on the way there you may have noticed our renovated Children’s Room!)
The new Activity Room is already a hit with many of the Library’s patrons. Workshops, readings, and classes take place there. It’s an inviting space that provides a beautiful backdrop for musicians to perform and local artists to display their work. It serves as a meeting place for our many book clubs, French and Spanish conversations groups, Mahjong Group, and Knitting Club. There is now plenty of room for our younger members to work, play and even cook. Stop by to check out some of their culinary and artistic masterpieces!

It truly takes a village, and with the help of a truly amazing village–our community–the preservation work on our beloved historic library is complete. Over the past decade, the Stone Ridge Library Foundation has raised the funds necessary to stabilize old buildings, rebuild and renovate.
