January 1-Februray 28
The Stone Ridge Library is pleased to announce a reception for Near & Far, an exhibit featuring paintings by local artist Adrienne Mierzwa. “While focusing on local subjects that most people in the area are familiar with, I also want to take visitors on a little trip to some of the other locales that I love- especially as so many people are not able to travel right now.”
Along with paintings of our Hudson Valley neighborhood, there will be works portraying the Rye/Sound Shore area, Cape Cod /Martha’s Vineyard, and the serene beauty of Hawaii and Florida. All the paintings will be available for purchase, and a percentage of each sale will be donated to the library. The exhibit runs from Jan 2- Feb 28. The reception has been postponed to sometime in February.
Adrienne Mierzwa was born in Manhattan, and studied at the High School of Art and Design, Parsons School of Design, School of Visual Arts and Instituto Allende in Mexico. While she most enjoys painting landscapes, she often paints still life and figures.
She works in a variety of media, including oils, watercolors and drawing media, and has shown in exhibitions throughout the country, winning several awards. She and her husband have lived in the Clove Valley for many years. For more information, visit her website at: adriennemierzwa.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org
