10-11am on the Library Lawn
This month we are excited to offer four yoga classes outside, on the Library lawn. Deb Jones from the Yoga House, in Kingston, will be teaching four, hour-long classes from 10-11am, July 3rd, 10th, 24th, and 31st, for all abilities.
Yoga has been a passion of Deb’s for many years and the ability to share that passion with others is a dream come true. Through her teaching, Deb emphasizes the non-competitive nature of the practice by honoring how the body feels and she never forgets that the practice should be a joyful experience to simultaneously increase strength and flexibility. She encourages her students to find the balance of peacefulness and energy in each class. With the incorporation of yoga philosophy, Deb also embraces the important spiritual lifestyle that yoga practice can unveil.
In her career, Deb has been dedicated to the non-for-profit sector, particularly with people who are challenged with developmental disabilities. This experience has deepened her views on compassion and equality. Deb shares her life with her husband and their four children.
These classes are free, but registration is required for each class separately. Please bring a yoga mat and any blocks, if you have them, as well a full water bottle. Workout clothing is also required. Classes are weather dependent and will be cancelled if rained out. Register
