Brazilian Children’s Choir

Fridays, 4:30-5:15 PM

The Brazilian Children’s Choir is open to children of all ages. In this 8-session program, children will explore traditional and beloved Brazilian songs, play musical games, and experience the joy of singing together in a supportive and fun environment. Families are welcome to join in, making this a truly family-centered musical experience.

Young children up to 7 years old are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian, while older children and teenagers (ages 7–18) can participate independently. This structure enables the youngest participants to absorb the music, culture, and community in a family-friendly setting, while older kids have the opportunity to sing and engage with the songs. Please register via our website calendar.

Our instructor, Mariana Barcellos is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, choir director, and voice teacher based in Woodstock, NY. She leads community singing with warmth and clarity, drawing from Brazilian musical traditions, somatic voice work, and years of performance and teaching experience. Mariana is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where singers of all ages can explore their voices, connect through music, and sing with confidence and joy.
