The Library is adding Canasta to our group game offerings. Join our volunteer Jane to learn how to play this card game. Canasta is a for or rumme that uses two full card decks.Players or partnerships try to meld groups of two or three cards of the same rank and score bonuses for 7-card melds. The first player or partnership to hit 5000 points wins! Beginners are welcome but we have limited registration.

Join us for our newest book group The Morbid History Book Group as we read through the darker aspects of history. Our first book is Death Makes A Holiday: A Cultural History of Halloween by David Skall. We will meet after hours in the library activity room on the 4th Friday of each month. Zumba Gold with Donna

Rondout Municipal Center
We are thrilled to once again collaborate with The Town of Marbletown Parks, Rec and Trails Department to offer a six week session of free Zumba Gold Classes. Classes will be held at the Rondout Municipal Center on the Marbletown side of the building(playground entrance).
Join Zumba Gold instructor Donna Ebanks for a dance fitness program suited for those needing lower impact classes. This class is slower paced and will focus on balance, coordination and flexibility. Its a great way for seniors, anyone with mobility issues or those just starting out on their fitness journey to get started.

Knitting Group
The Stone Ridge Library Knitters meet every Saturday morning from 10am – 12noon. All ages and experience levels can join us and drop-in knitters are also welcome. We each bring our own supplies and do our own work, but one of the best things about us is that whatever obstacle or confusion you might encounter, you’re likely to receive as much comment and advice as you need to get where you’re going with a project.
Spanish Conversation with Francisco and Varcia
¿Hablas español? If you would like to brush up on your Spanish conversation skills and meet other language lovers in a friendly and stress free environment, come join our class in the Activity Room and on Zoom, every 4th Monday of the month from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. All levels are welcomed. ¡Hasta entonces!

Two separate writers’ groups meet on alternate Mondays at the library in the Activity room, with a maximum of 10 participants in each group. This program is designed for those who are actively writing and publishing work and who want to participate in a structured critical feedback process.

No serious tomes of 500+pages, just lighthearted escapism the group members will take turns choosing. Think beach reads but year round. After Work Yoga with Laura Brown
Once again, the library is happy to offer 3, hour-long, after-work yoga classes. Classes will be held at the Municipal Center, 1925 Lucas Ave. in Cottekill (old Rosendale School).
We will be in the cafeteria (formerly the Blackboard Bistro) or on the lawn above the playground, weather permitting. These classes will be taught by Laura Brown and we are thrilled to be working with her. Registration for this event will open on September26.
