With great sadness we share the news of the death of our dear friend Barbara Seaman.
Barbara began her time at the library as a volunteer, making strawberry shortcakes at the library fair. She joined the library circulation desk team shortly after and spent 22 years brightening the days of our patrons and her co-workers. Barbara was our webmaster, managed our newsletter and was the go-to person for any questions. She was also an amazing resource for anyone looking for their next great read.
Funny and kind, she was wonderful to work with.
Though Barbara retired from the library in May of 2023, she was still a library regular, popping in with smiles and hugs to pick up books. Her death is a huge loss to the library staff and to our community. Our condolences to her family and to her many friends. Heavens to Betsy we will miss her!
The library will honor Barbara at a future date.
